NJ Dawn Patrol

I stood on the rock jetty watching surfers ride the ocean's rhythm in the soft, glowing light of dawn.  The challenge was imagining how I would capture the sweeping vista. Breaking from my typical square canvas format, I used a 24"x48" canvas to emphasize the strong horizontal of the horizon.  As the eye pans left to right, it mimics the endless onslaught of waves that barrel into the jetty, breaking into surfable waves that fan out to the right in a sweeping, mesmerizing motion.  Be sure to watch the video.
